playing catch up: it's the way of life post-child

So for those of you who have missed the memo: Nelson Rene Rubio has arrived! Is he ever handsome! Today he turned 15 weeks. Sunday he laughed for the first time (while not sleeping) and he is what you call a talker and loves attention! It's adorable.

The labor: I was induced August 11 @ 12:30pm and baby Nelson took his first breath at 4:50pm. Nice and quick. So quick my doctor didn't make it :) The mid-wife did a lovely job.

Stats: Baby weighed 7.7 and 19.5 inches long. With hair and blue eyes.

The recovery: The day I was to check out of the hospital I realized that we had a problem on our hands. Our bed is one of those cool modern ones that are down on the floor. You all know that's out of the question for weeks! So after making it to the house Rene and his dad headed out to Ikea to buy an over due guest bed/recovery bed! Thank God for precious husbands! He has been wonderful through all of this and loves being a father. Over all everything went smoothly. Other than the normal discomforts. We were up and running (at a very slow speed ) a week later.

Four months later: Things are flowing alot smoother.

Tip: Nothing else matters if you allow it to matter you'll become very stressed. Just say a prayer each day and enjoy.
